ScanCraft Studio Privacy Policy

ScanCraft Studio (“the app”) is an offline QR code and barcode tool. This policy explains how the app handles information on your device.

1. Who we are

ScanCraft Studio is provided as a local, on-device application. We do not operate user accounts or a backend server for this app.

2. Data we do not collect

The app does not collect, sell, or share personal information with us or with advertisers. Scanned and generated codes are not uploaded.

3. Data stored on your device

History of scanned and created codes is saved only in a local file on your device (history.json in the app’s private storage). You can delete items in History. Uninstalling the app removes this file.

4. Permissions

• Camera — used only to detect QR codes and barcodes in the live viewfinder. Frames are processed on-device and are not stored unless you save a result to History.
• Photos (system picker) — used only when you choose one image to scan. The app does not request access to your full photo library.
• Contacts (write) — used only if you tap “Save contact” after scanning a vCard. Contacts are not read or uploaded.
• Nearby Wi-Fi — used only if you tap “Join Wi-Fi network” after scanning a Wi-Fi code. The operating system shows its own join prompt.

5. Internet

The app’s scanning, generation, and history features work offline. The Android package may declare Internet permission because the operating system and app runtime require it. The app does not send your scans, contacts, photos, or history to our servers.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the in-app policy screen.
